This Is Sunday
Most of our day was spent driving to Arlington Heights in search of a new couch. I have finally surrendered and accepted that I am not going to find anything that we want on Craigslist so we drove all the way out to Ashley Furniture for their Memorial Day Sale. Of course we fell in love with a sectional set that was more than three times what we had planned on spending, but I loved it so we made the deal. Then we got home and realized it’s way to friggin big. Yes, we are the people who drove all the way out to the burbs without taking measurements. So we called the guy and he is holding our order so we can still have the same delivery date but will have to drive out again tomorrow to buy a new one. The right size this time.
But we did still find time to take Lilo to the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day at our house but just 4.5 miles away it was freezing! We were all underdressed and Canyon had to stay in his carrier covered up with a blanket from the car.
