A Very Special Christmas Box

John did ask me what I wanted for Christmas today….

A Very Special Christmas Box

Which reminded me of one of my favorite Drew Carey Episodes

And since we’re at it, here’s another I love

Sorry I can’t post Youtube!

Blue Man Group at the Chicago Bulls

Basically, Friday I spent nearly 10 hours in the bowels of the United Center-mainly Auxiliary Locker Room #2. A 13-hour day for a 4-minute performance!

Kantowicz is Coming To Town

Christmas came early this year with a visit from the Kantowicz’s! Wednesday and Thursday we went to Chief O’Neil’s. Henning was kind enough to bring a load of Top the Tater from MN and Thursday night John showed up to surprise the gang with the special treat around 1am. By this point we had all been drinking for a couple hours and the crew was happy enough to see the Fritos Scoops but when the Top The Tater came out of the bag-let me just say that there may have been a few tears of joy.

For those of you who have no idea what Top the Tater is-it’s basically the world’s greatest chip dip that can only be found in Northern MN and WI. It’s crack in a tub. It’s sheer perfection.

Saturday night Chris and Claire came to our house to see the wedding photos and my dress. More Top the Tater! Dawn joined us with homemade Irish Creme and she and I ended up playing Playstation 2 Karaoke until 3am!

As we speak the Kantowicz’s are jetting across the Atlantic on their way to Claire’s family in England. Sigh.

A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads.

A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads. Is it a dna test episode of Maury? No-it’s the Abba musical Mama Mia!

This was my second time seeing the show. Really just can’t get enough. While the tribune critic and I didn’t see eye to eye on the Moscow Cats-He LOVED IT while I really enjoyed it, he does do a great job of summing up why I don’t mind seeing Mama Mia more than once.

My only dissappointment was with the Chicago audience. The best part of Mama Mia is after the curtain call they come out in the crazy outfits (see the above photo) and it’s your chance to get up and dance, sing-a-long and basically act like a fool. The cheap seats in the balcony were getting down but everyone on the main fllor was just sitting there. I couldn’t control it-up I went dragging Henning with me. We shook our groove thangs all over that encore and I will say we inspired a few people around us. I will also take this moment to publicly out JP and Andrew for not dancing.

Holiday Party

The work party was a success! Four hours of open bar and I was able to negotiate for a fifth. Yeah. The next day I watched some special on what not to do, wear etc. at an office party. I am proud to say that I think we violated every one by the end of the fifth hour.
